Research Laboratory has a requirement for a vendor to provide all
labor, materials and equipment to replace and install app. 900 SQ. YDS.
of carpet and app. 1,500 L.F. of 4'' vinyl cove base at N.R.L. The
location for carpet installation is at Bldg. 69 in rooms 100, 100A,
101, 101A, 103, 103A, 103B, 108A, 109, 109A, 110, 114, 114A, 114B, 117,
118, 118A, 118B, 120, 122, and hallways. The contractor shall base his
bid on temporarily relocating modular office furniture and equipment
as necessary for new carpet, possibly on the weekend. The new carpet
replacement consist of removing old glued down carpeting and
moldings/reducers on the first floor and disposing of off N.R.L. Reglue
any existing loose floor tiles. Replace all damaged of missing floor
tiles. Repair any holes, cracks, depressions or rough areas using
materials recommended by carpet manufacturer. Before new carpet
installation, provide floor free of any foreign materials and broom
clean. Install carpet with a waterpfoor, non-flammable, non-toxic
carpet adhesive. Newly installed carpet shall be a 30 oz level loop.
The carpet shall have a static propensity (AATCC 134) 3.5 KV or lower.
After the completion of carpet installation, the contractor shall
clean-up, vacuum and dispose of all carpet debris off N.R.L. Relocate
office furniture and equipment back into original positions. The
contractor shall visit job site for exact location, dimensions and
condition for new carpet installation. Provide carpet, cove base and
