Bower (301) 975-6336 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate with Allied Graphics Systems, Inc., 8940 Brookville Road, Silver Spring, MD. 20910, on a sole source basis to acquire a Duplo DC-1000s Collator and Binding System w/Pro-Fold RAC III to include the following: DC-1000s 10 Bin Air Suction-Feed Collator, Bridge; KRA-7 pump; DC-1000LU Lift Unit w/Reject Tray and Dynamic Hand Merry Unit; DC-48SH Heavy Duty Stitcher; DC-48F Heavy Duty Folder; DC-48T Heavy Duty Trimmer; Rear Delivery Plate; Rear Jogger; Pro-Fold RAC III. Also includes installation, training and warranty, FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD. Required delivery within 6 weeks after contract is awarded. This is a sole source procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source, because Allied Graphics Systems, Inc., is the only source that can combine a collator & folder from the required different manufacturer into one complete fully automated system. The Duplo DC 1000s Collator and the RAC III are integrated together to accommodate all the needs for addressing, folding, and postal regulations. This system must be a guaranteed productive operation to include but not limited to the efficient processing of Docutech generated materials, and include one pass thru folding of 11x17, A3, 8.5x11, and A4 size paper to letter size. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements by submitting a capability statement. The capability statement must provide adequate information and qualifications of your ability to provide the requested supplies in order for the Government to consider whether to open this request for competition.
