The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Indianapolis has a requirement for 350 each 5 inch x 4.5 inch x 5.5 inch vendor sawed blanks of 13-8 precipitation hardened (PH) stainless steel per specification AMS5629. End use is for strengthening weight bearing sections of the current aluminum rail on the LAU-115 missile launcher adapter unit. Due to the special size requirement a mill run will be required. RFP will require identification of the mill source due to limited sources experienced with 13-8 PH stainless steel. Mill sources other than ARMCO and Carpenter may need Government approval and investigation. Delivery will be to the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division Indianapolis in one lot. Required delivery is 30 days after award of contract. Release of RFP anticipated to be on or about 04/01/96 with responses required 04/25/96. No FAX Requests.
