Mitchell at (612) 290-5763 The project consists of stabilizing the existing riverbank with rockfill located at approximate river miles 628.0 (Norwegian Slough, IA), 636.4 (East Channel, WI), and 646.4 (Billy Slough, IA). A total of about 31,000 tons of rockfill would be used to stabilize 4,700 linear feet of shoreline and close two side channel openings. It is anticipated that access to the sites will be by marine equipment and that no dredging will be necessary to construct or access the project. Some limited removal and relocation of tree debris will be required. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (P.L. 100-656). SIC Code - 1629; Small Business Size Standard is $17 million. The estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
