shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and
supervision necessary to remove and dispose of two (2) existing storage
bldgs (appr 900 and 1000 sf in size), the concrete foundation for the
larger bldg, the asociated lighting/heating systems, and other minor
items, including all site work. Provide and erect a new 3000 sf
pre-engineered metal storage bldg (50'x 60'x 16'high) with new
reinforced concrete foundation; bldg shall have 2 personnel doors and
1 overhead door; and will be provided with insulation, a gas-fired
heating system, high pressure sodium interior lighting, exterior
lighting, and electrical receptacles. Other work includes new concrete
sidewalks and a concrete approach apron, reconnecting gas/electric
lines, site grading/restoration, and incidental related work. Work is
located at USCG Group Long Island Sound, New Haven, CT (New Haven
County). The estimated cost of this project is between $100,000 and
$250,000. SIC code is 1541. Performance time is 150 calendar days from
receipt of NTP. Solicitation Packages to be available on or about May

Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. THE
FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PROVIDED TO ASSIST MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND
DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT)
Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has
programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business
enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding
assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to
any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding
Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and
performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an
80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are
available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line
