70 -- SOFTWARE SOL 263-96-Q-0193 POC Lorraine Geiser, 301/402-3349, Purchaing Agent. The National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD intends to place an order with Neuro Scan Inc., 790 Station Street, Suite 200, Herndon, Virginia 22070, for one (1) CURRY Co-registration Software Package. The software shall have the following features: 1. Shall be compatible and work with existing Neuro Scan hardware and software. 2. Shall allow co-registration of special interest protocols (e.g., data analysis of lesion site, lesion type, lesion size, degree of recovery, and individual cortical anatomy). 3. Shall allow co-registration of electrophysiological and imaging data and be compatible with different data sets (e.g., EEG (IBM compatible data) and MRI (workstation data). Shall allow accurate merging of 3-dimensional MRI space with 3-dimensional electrophysiological space (e.g., ultrasonic 3-D digitization of a subject's head and electrode positions). 4. Shall include algorithms for electric source modelling (single and multiple dipole solutions) and surface mapping (including current density reconstruction). Shall be compatible and work with existing IBM compatible computers (PC-486DX/586). 5. Shall include an option for semi-automatic segmentation of morphological surfaces (which is essential to reconstruct head shape and brain surface 3-dimensionally from MRI data for optimal analysis of functional anatomy). 6. Shall provide an integrated data base, and a standard graphic interface (TIFF, EPS, HP-PCL) to other programs. It is the Government's belief that these requirements can only be Neuro Scan, Incorporated. Concerns that respond to this notice will be considered only if responding with clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their ability to meet all the requirements of this synopsis. Written responses should contain sufficient technical information to permit agency analysis to establish a bona-fide capability to meet the stated requirements. Adequate detailed data by which to evaluate capability should be sent to Ms. Lorraine Geiser, National Institutes of Health, Division of Procurement, 6120 Executive Blvd., Room WS-5, Rockville, Maryland, 20852. Intent Synopsis to Sole Source will close 15 days after this publication. (0074)
