(Site Code DACW17) Award of an indefinite quantity contract for one
year is anticipated for the furnishing of all labor, equipment,
materials, supplies, utilities, and incidental items meeting all
Federal, State, and local requirements necessary for the demolition,
removal, and disposal of an estimated 108 beach barriers (horned
scullies). The existing structures consist of concrete and steel beams
and are located along the coast line, between Ft Pierce in St Lucie
County, FL, and adjoining Vero Beach in Indian River County, FL. The
majority of demolition and removal operations shall be conducted from
offshore to avoid disturbance to the environmentally sensitive upland
areas. Any beach removals shall be performed after turtle season in the
fall. Disposal of structures/debris shall be at a permitted offshore
artificial reef. The SIC for this acquisition is 8744, Environmental
Remediation. Offerors with less than 500 employees, including
affiliates, are considered small. All IFB requests shall be in writing
and shall include whether or not you are a small business. If adequate
response is received from small business, the IFB will be 100%
set-aside. If adequate small business concern interest is not received,
the IFB will be issued unrestricted. This is a Defense Environmental
Restoration Program-Formerly Used Defense Sites (DERP-FUDS) acquisition
and is currently subject to the availability of funds. All responsible
