Dias (904) 232-3737 (Site Code DACW17) US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to procure services to furnish all plant, labor, materials and equipment and perform all work for shipyard overhaul and repowering of U.S. Towboat OKI-CHOBI located in Clewiston, Florida. The OKI-CHOBI's dimensions are: Length - 43 ft., 0 inches; Beam - 12 feet, 0 inches; Displacement (in long tons) - 23 light / 25 loaded; and Draft (light) - 3 feet, 0 inches (approx). Repairs will consist of, but not be limited to, such items as: drydocking, sandblasting and/or mechanical cleaning of exterior surfaces of hull, struts, rudders, and other appurtenances; removal of propellers, shafts, rudders, etc., for inspection, renewal of an indeterminate amount of steel plate and shapes on an as needed basis; joint preparations and electric welding in an indeterminate amount on an as needed basis; replacement of existing engines and reduction gears with new engines and reduction gears; replacement of existing generator set with new generator set; repair and modification of exhaust system in its entirety; and performing other repairs as specified to various items of machinery, equipment, outfitting, etc., aboard the vessel. Vessel will be made available on or about 13 May 1996. Work is to be completed in less than 60 calendar days. This requirement is unrestricted, therefore all responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by this agency.
