The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions over the period of Basic Order Agreement N00024-96-C-4113 with Unisys Corporation, Shipboard Ground System Group, Marcus Avenue, Greak Neck, NY 11020. Orders will be issued for: a) opening, inspecting, and conducting engineering analyses of Government Furnished Navigation Systems and Ancillary Equipments for the MK III Mods 4, 6 and 7 SINS systems; b) repair, alteration and maintenance of Navigation Systems and Ancillary Equipments for the MK III Mods 4, 6, and 7 SINS Systems; c) the evaluation and implementation of Preplanned Product Improvements (P31) for Navigation Systems and Ancillary Equipments for the MK III Mods 4, 6, and 7 SINS Systems; d) providing Mods 4, 6, and 7 SINS replacement spares/components for Navigation Systems and Ancillary Equipment for the MK III SINS Systems. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Unisys Corporation is the sole producer of the MK III SINS. It is the only company which possesses the technical knowledge, tooling and equipment necessary to perform the tasks described. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work descsribed herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
