supervision and transportation required to construct Maumee Bay
entrance channel Light #9, Lake Erie, Ohio. All work to be performed is
near Monroe, Michigan. Work consists of surveying, pile driving,
structural steel fabrications and installations, dredging, stone
placement, grouting and performance of all associated work items
necessary to construct the steel sheet pile cell foundation light
structure. Fabrication of pile driving templates, ice protection cones,
landings, navigations tower and ladders and all associated items shall
be included as required to construct the light structure in accordance
with the plans and specifications. Performance period 180 calendar day
after Notice to Proceed. Performance period is broken down as follows:
1) 45 calendar days for administration/submittals/order materials; 2)
75 calendar days for fabrication/shop work; 3) 60 calendar days for
installation/site work. Est. range is $500K to $1 million dollars.
Anticipated bid opening date is on or about 7 May 1996. The bid opening
date will be adjusted accordingly depending on when the solicitation is
issued. The small business size standard for this contract is 1629 and
the average size standard is $17.0 million. All responsible sources
may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This is an
unrestricted procurement and is open to both small and large businesses
in accordance with Public Law 100-656. THERE IS A NON-REFUNDABLE
DEPOSIT REQUIRED IN THE AMOUNT OF $50.00 PER SOLICITATION PACKAGE.
