B -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR ANALYTICAL SUPPORT SERVICES RFP-3589-Analytical Support Services. POC Paula Frickey, (314) 441-8086, extension 3710. Qualified Sources Sought, SOL RFP 3589-Analytical Support Services. MK-Ferguson Company (MK-F), a subsidiary of Morrison Knudsen Corporation is currently performing work under a Department of Energy Prime Contract at the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project (WSSRAP) located in St. Charles, Missouri. Qualified sources are being sought for potential suppliers to provide laboratory services. MK-Ferguson Company expects to make multiple awards to qualified suppliers. The estimated value of these awards range from $5K to $250K. Laboratory needs include chemical and radiological analyses in soils, waters, waste materials, air filters, biota, sludges, and sediments. Samples may or may not be radiologically contaminated. The RFP will require the bidders to propose on a specific list of analytes and media, and will require a current Materials License to handle radioactive materials. The successful bidder for the chemical analyses will be required to possess the following instrumentation (along with backups): GC/MS, GC/ECD, GC/FID, HPLC, ICP, GFAA, CVAA, IC, and Spectrophotometers. The successful bidder for the radiochemical analyses will be required to possess the following instrumentation (along with backups): Gas-Flow Proportional Counter, Alpha Spectrometer, Lucas Cells, and KPA or Fluorometer. In addition, the successful bidder will be expected to participate in interlaboratory performance evaluation programs, such as, WS, WP, EMSL-LV, MAPEP, and IPEP. Prior to award to the supplier, an inspection and/or acceptance of the selected supplier's facilities, staff, quality assurance program, and standard operating procedures will be required. Inspection will be conducted by the MK-Ferguson Quality Department.
