chiller located at USCG Activities, Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island NY,
from CFC-11 to HCFC-123, start up the air conditioning system for two
buildings, and furnish a final report with results of tests on the
system. During time that Trane chiller is being modified and is
disconnected from the system, the Contractor shall provide a temporary
chiller. SIC Code assigned is 7623. Bid Opening will be on or about 02
may 1996. NOTE: DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS JOB, A SITE VISIT PRIOR TO
BIDDING IS MANDATORY. Site Visits will be scheduled by the Contract
Specialist prior to bid opening date. This office has a Procurement

Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is not a set-aside.

Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, woman-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending
Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
