IDEF METHODOLOGY EXHIBITION, WORKSHOP & ARMY COMPONENT FUNCTIONAL DATA ADMINISTRATOR CONFERENCE The Director of Information Systems for C4 announces a DISC4 IDEF Workshop and Exposition to be conducted from March 26-28, 1996 at the Orlando International Airport Holiday Inn, Orlando Florida. The workshop's objective is to make a major contribution to the prioritization and integration of C4 for models and simulations (Task -9 of the Army's Enterprise Implementation Strategy). The IDEF Workshop forum will highlight industry and DOD standards for activity/process and data modeling. Following keynote and introductory presentations by senior DOD and Army leaders, there will be a workshop track that exposes new users to the methodology and another track that encourages experienced users to share their efforts, successes and lessons learned. Plenary workshop sessions will include supporting DOD agencies, international defense, and Army efforts in IDEFO (language), IDEF1X (data item relationship) and standardization efforts in object oriented extensions to IDEF1X. The workshop will conclude with an introduction to non-traditional uses of IDEF. Commercial vendors with exhibitions and demonstrations of IDEF and IDEF Interfacing Products will be available concurrently with the presentations; workshop time will be allocated for viewing.
