Z -- BEACH NOURISHMENT, INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL SHORELINE SOL DACW23-96-B-0024 DUE 051096 POC Contact or Donald Grskovich, 312/353-6400, ext. 1700 This procurement consists of nourishing approximately 1/2 mile of beach in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore located on the western limits of Michigan City, Indiana. The nourishment will be accomplished by trucking or barging in approximately85,000 tons of natural sand from upland sources and constructing a sand berm along the beach. A bid additive up to an additional 10,000 tons may be awarded subject to availability of funds. The project requires the contractor to construct an accessroad through private property to access the beach. In addition, the project will include sand monitoring activities such as aerial photography, survey profiles, and sediment samples. Full size plans and specifications will be furnished for $13.00;half size for $12.00; specifications only for $10.00.
