Buildings have been abandoned and are constructed of steel and wood. Job will consist of removing asbestos insulation on pipes, ducts, ACM woven cloth, furnaces, tanks and other miscellaneous surfaces. Demolition by tear-down and burning in place. Haul waste to landfill. Firm-Fixed-Price contract. Magnitude: $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. The work shall be completed in the summer of 1996. The summer at Thule Air Base is extremely short, and shipment of materials can only take place in July - August. Special Note: All discussions leading to contract award shall take place at the contracting office in the Embassy of the United States of America in Copenhagen, Denmark. All costs, including travel costs, incurred by interested parties responding to this synopsis and any costs incurred as a result of subsequent discussions prior to award of contract are the sole responsibility of the interested parties.
