length, approximately 180,700 lbs., 62'' flange O.D., 34'' max. shaft
diameter, 1 each in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard specifications and
drawings. There is a requirement for contingency items. Tests and
inspections: Liquid Penetrant Method in accordance with MIL-STD-271,
penetrant group III & MIL-S-23284A, Appendix A; Ultrasonic Testing
shall be performed in accordance with MIL-STD-271 & MIL-S-23284A,
Appendix, A; Magnetic Particle Testing in accordance with MIL-STD-271
& MIL-S-23284A, Appendix A; Dimensional Inspection outlining areas
requiring any build up, welding and or machining; Container conditions
and estimate for repairs, if any, in compliance with MIL-P-2845D,
Level A; Each fiberglass covering shall be spark tested in accordance
with MIL-STD-2199, Section 5.6.1; Each shaft shall be dimensionally
inspected for conformance to the applicable drawings and Specification
No. 4342-R-243-175. Any shaft that has been welded shall be inspected
for cracks and other defects by magnetic-particle or liquid penetrant
method in accordance with MIL-STD-271, penetrant group III, and the
approved plan. Liners are required for each shaft as outlined on
Drawings 400 WAGB-4301-4 & 5. The required liners shall be made in
accordance with ASTM-B369-93, UNS No. C96400 centrifugally casted with
Supplementary Requirements S2.1, S3, and S5.1. All drawings shall be
distributed as aperature cards. The contractor will be required to
secure printing services for these drawings. Delivery is to be F.O.B.
Destination to Defense Distribution Depot, Puget Sound, 467 West
Street, Bremerton, WA 98314-5130. Delivery to be made approximately 430
days after contract award. When calling to request a solicitation
package be prepared to state name, address, and solicitation number.
