CECOM is conducting a formal market survey to establish potential sources for Interim Contractor Support (ICS) for the AN/AVR-2 family of Laser Detecting Sets (LDS) and Laser Detecting Test Set (LDTS). The AN/AVR-2A performs all of the same functions of the AN/AVR-2 with additional enhancements including: compatibility with the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System/Air to Ground Engagement System (MILES/AGES) II training system; a removable, reprogrammable User Data Module (UDM); greater sensitivity and enhanced threat processing capabilities. The TS-4321A/AVR-2A LDTS is capable of testing both the AN/AVR-2 and AN/AVR-2A. Interested sources should have demonstrated experience in the design, development, manufacture, installation and testing of laser warning receivers. Installation and testing experience must include air and ground combat platforms. The contractor must have minimum security clearance level of SECRET. The Government plans to award a time and materials contract to begin first quarter FY97. Due to recent implementation of engineering changes, a level III drawing package is not available for this system. Written responses are requested within 21 days of this publication.
