The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Goddard Space Flight Center (NASA/GSFC) is planning to consolidate the following contracts: NAS5-31000, Network and Mission Operation Support (NMOS); NAS5-31500, Systems, Analysis, Engineering Support (SEAS); NAS5-32153, Operations and Maintenance of Radar, Telecommunications, Optical, and TV Systems at Goddard and Wallops. The purpose of this contract consolidation is to provide the Government cost savings and performance efficiencies. The above listed contracts will be consolidated into the NMOS contract that presently exists with AlliedSignal Technical Services Corporation (ATSC). This contract consolidation merely combines existing work under a single contract with the same term of performance. After expiration of the period of performance of this contract, a follow-on procurement is planned (see below). There are no procurement opportunities at this time and a soliciation will not be issued. Since no additional work is being acquired, a justification under Part 6 of the FAR has not been prepared. The consolidation is scheduled for completion in April 1996. NASA will be conducting a full and open competition for consolidation NASA Space Operations services (CSOC) for ther period beginning Fiscal Year 1998. The contract will be awarded and managed by the NASA Space Operations Management Office (SOMO) at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). This procurement will be synopsized separately by JSC.
