The level of support includes skilled staff, tools, and other resources needed to analyze, design, develop, maintain, and enhance the NESDIS automated information system. The services needed include: applications system design, analysis, programming, testing, implementation, and transition; system software implementation, maintenance and technical support; system hardware installation, maintenance and technical support; product assurance; project management; and other related goods and services. The period of performance will be 10/01/96 through 9/30/97 plus seven (7) option years. DOC announced its DRAFT RFP for this requirement in the Commerce Business Daily on 11/29/95. The FINAL RFP is now being prepared and will take into consideration all comments from industry.
