R -- 3-MONTH EXTENSION TO CONTRACT NAS5-31470 WITH ANSTEC, INC. POC Karen M. Smith, Contract Specialist, (301) 286-2384. The Goddard Space Flight Center is extending the current contract with Anstec, Inc. for information systems support services. The extension will be for a three-month basic period from April 1, 1996 to June 30, 1996, with three one-month options. This extension is necessary because of external delays to NASA which have impeded our efforts to award the follow-on contract to NAS5-31470. An interruption in these services would severely impact the operations of the Center. Services such as microcomputer maintenance, automated financial systems processing and support, and local area network (LAN) administration would cease to be provided. Our authority for this action is FAR 6.302-2 and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2), Unusual and Compelling Urgency. (0079)
