The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following: Design, construction, maintenance, and removal of temporary diversion and protective works for diversion and care of the Lemhi River during construction, erosion control planting, earthwork for and construction of a reinforced concrete fish passage and protective facility which will include a river diversion dam, fish ladder, fishscreen, fish viewing room, and a separate canal headworks structure, open-cut excavation and embankment in canal and riverm furnishing and installing appurtenant metalwork including removable fish crowder, prefabricated metal staircase, profile bar fishscreen panels, tuning baffles, walkway gratings and supports, trashracks pipe handrails, enameled weir gages, fish viewing window, and embedded metalwork, furnishing and installing appurtenant equipment including slide gates, screen cleaner, ventilating fan and sump pump, installing Government-furnished pneumatic variable crest gates, including programmable controllers and air compressors for the fish ladder and diversion dam, construction of an equipment building, furnishing and installing a complete electrical installation, which includes electrical service to the fishscreens, viewing room, and equipment building.
