55 -- WOODEN FENCE POST SOL FRQ No. FWA 10-96-Q006 DUE 041096 POC Diana Myles, 303-275-2359 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement consistutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is used as a request for quotes (RFQ) and will be awarded as a purchase order using the simplified acquisition procedures. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 32. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 2491 Wooden Fence Posts. Small Business Size is less than 500 employees. Item number 1 is for 1,609 each line posts to be 6 inches minimum diameter by 12 feet long, and Item number 2 is for 191 each corner posts to be 8 inches minimum diameter by 14 feet long. The posts shall be salt treated. Treatment shall be in accordance with American Wood Preservers Association Standard C5-94 for southern yellow pine posts. Treatment shall be CCA to a retention level of 0.40 pounds per sqare foot. Certificate of treatment shall be furnished by the treating plant. Delivery shall start within 30 days after receipt of the order, and be completed within 60 days after the order. Delivery is made to U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Walnut Creek National Wildlife Refuge, P.O. Box 399, W. 109th St. South, Prairie City, Iowa 50228. All quotes received should specify FOB Prairie City, Iowa. The provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 90-32. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to the RFQ and are incorporated by reference: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items Provision 52.212-2 evaluation-commercial items (Oct 1995)(a) the government will award a purchase order resulting from this quotation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer: past performance and price (b) options, the government will evaluate offers for award purposes 52.212-3, Offeror representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items. Vendors wishing to respond to this solicitation should provide this office with the following: A price quote on company letterhead for the requested items showing unit price, extended price, FOB, prompt payment terms and correct remittance address; and a completed copy of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representatiosn and Certifications - Commercial Items. Please provide three references, point of contacts, addresses and phone numbers of any recent and relevant contracts for the same or similar items; statement specifying the extent of agreement with all of the terms, conditions and provisions included in the quotation. The offeror agrees to hold the prices in the offer firm for 30 calendar days from the date specified for the receipt of offers.
