The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occassions over the period of Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-96-G-6342 with EDO Corporation, 14-04 111th Street, College Point, NY 11356-1434. Orders will be issued for Engineering Change Kits, Pre-Overhaul/Repair, Overhaul, Repair, Installation and Check-Out Material (INCOs), Maintenance Support Material, and Engineering Services for the MK 105 Mod 2 Minesweeping Gear, Magnetic. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). EDO was the system developer and the sole-producer of the MK 105 Mod 2 Minesweeping Gear, Magnetic. It is the only known company which currently possesses the in-depth technical knowledge of the equipment requirement to satifactorily perform the work under the orders contemplated herein. No other source has the technical qualifications and necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
