CONTRACT FOR VARIOUS CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT WESTOVER ARB, MA Due

II, Open End Contract for Site Investigation and Design for
Maintenance, Repair and Minor Construction Projects and Inspection
Services for various Construction Projects at Westover ARB, MA. One
contract to a multidiscipline firm which has in-house expertise in
Architecture and may have in-house or joint venture expertise in the
related Engineering Disciplines (Civil, Electrical, Environmental,
Mechanical and Structural and Interior Design) for Investigation,
Design, Specifications and Inspection services for minor construction
projects for Westover ARB, MA. A/E firms must meet all state licensing
requirements of the state in which they are incorporated or
principally do business. Each firm must have one principal of the firm
duly licenses or registered to practice architecture in one of the 50
United States. This indefinite quantity contract will have a maximum
monetary limit of $250,000.00, per year with a minimum of $5,000.00
guaranteed for the life of the contract, against which individual
delivery orders of up to $99,000.00 may be written. However, the
initial delivery order to be issued at the time of award may exceed
$99,000.00. A/E firms will be evaluated on the basis of the following
factors: Specialized Experience, Professional Qualifications,
Professional Capacity, Past Performance, Location of Firm, and volume
of work previously awarded; each being of equal value. The initial
project for this contract will be as follows: Project YTPM 94-0078,
Revitalize DC Hangar, Building 7000. Work includes the interior and
exterior renovation of various areas and systems within the facility.
Includes repair and installation of interior and exterior stairways for
emergency egress to meet the requirements of the life safety code.
Repair of electrical systems to include lighting, power distribution,
and specialized aircraft power systems. Plumbing system upgrades.
Repair of operating mechanisms for large (20 ft x 80 ft approx) hangar
doors. Renovation of approximately 23,000 sq ft to serve as office
space. Repair of hangar compressed air system and HVAC systems.
Estimated start date will be on or about June 1996 and performance will
be for one (1) year with a one (1) year option; each delivery order
indicating a statement of work and individual time table. Firms
responding to this announcement before 22 April 1996 will be considered
for selection. Firms desiring consideration shall submit appropriate
data as described in numbered Note 24. This is not a request for
