C -- A/E DESIGN OF TWO NEW REPLACEMENT HIGH TENSION TRANSFORMERS NEAR FITCH BLDG AND ONE HIGH TENSION TRANSFORMER NEAR WILEY HALL LOCATED AT USMMA Contact, John W. A-E Services for the design of two new replacement high tension transformers near the Fifth Building and one new high tension transformer near Wiley Hall at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. A/E Selection Criteria will include (in order of importance): (1) Previous experience in the design and development and of plans, specifications and cost estimates of all trades for the design of replacement high tension transformers. (2) Specialized experience and use of qualified personnel in the design of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) free high tension electrical power transformers. (3) Knowledge and experience in compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Clean Air Act and energy conservation regulations. (4) Organization and Management including training, education and professional background (5) Directly applicable disciplines including key personnel (Principles, Staff Members, Joint Venture and Consultants). (6) Past performance on contracts with government agencies and private industry in terms of construction, control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules. (7) Location in the general geographical area of the project, provided that the application of this criterion leaves an appropriate number of firms given the nature and size of this project. (8) Capacity to accomplish the design within a three (3) month period. A-E firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit (1) a Standard Form 254, Architect-Engineer and Related Service Questionnaire, (2) a Standard Form 255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project for the prime and each consultant, postmarked or delivered within 30 days from the date of this announcement. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Indicate in Block 3 of SF 255 the size/type of your business (Small, Small Disadvantaged, Women-owned, 8(a)).
