J -- RESTORATION OF TRANSDUCERS; MANUFACTURE OF CABLES SOL N66604-96-R-0981 POC Contact Carol Gorman, Contracting Officer at (860) 440-6155 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Detachment New London (NUWCNL), intends to solicit competitive proposals for restoration of the following transducers: TR-232, TR-233, TR-281, TR-282, TR-302A, TR-313, TR-331, TR-338, TR-355. The solicitation will also require manufacturing of the following cable: DT-511B, DT- 592/593, TR-302A, TR-338. A three-year Indefinite Delivery (Indefinite Quantity) contract with Firm-Fixed-Price provisions is planned. Restorations shall be done at the contractor's facility; offerors shall have production and test facilities. Technical and cost proposals are required. A determination of whether the technical proposal meets the minimum requirements in the solicitation will be made. The evaluation factor of past performance will be significantly more important than cost. Multiple awards may be made. A draft solicitation will be released the end of March. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at NUWCNL, Bldg. 80, Room 3029 on 16 April 1996 from 0900 to 1200. Attendance is limited to 3 people per company.
