The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Construction of a 25,000 S.F. Medical Clinic within the existing (newly constructed) Consolidated Education and Training Facility (CETF). The new medical clinic will be constructed within an existing interior shelled space on the first floor of the CETF structure. The construction of the Medical Clinic consists of removals, reconfiguration, and/or new installation of various materials or systems with the space including: HVAC, ductwork, plumbing, piping, electrical power and lighting, fire detection and alarm system, fire sprinkler system, steel stud walls, drywall, steel doors and frames, wood doors, hardware, toilet partitions and accessories, acoustical ceiling tile, flooring (VCT, ceramic tile, and carpeting), and painting. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a April 22, 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
