The US Fish and Wildlife Service invites bids for Electrical Modifications to the UV Disinfection System at the Water Treatment Facility at the Green Lake National Fish Hatchery, Ellsworth, Maine. The project consists of electrical modifications to up to five ultra-violet (UV) disinfection units. The work includes electrical demolition; removal of wiring from the existing UV units located on a lower floor level to ballast cabinets located on an upper floor level; furnishing and installing new wireways and conductors from the ballast cabinets to the disinfection units; installation of new UV lamp-out control panels at each ballast cabinet; and the replacement of existing UV lamps and connectors with Government furnished lamps and connectors. Work also includes testing an existing main service entrance transformer to the building. Estimated construction cost is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is an unrestricted procurement and is open to any business size. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered. Plans and specifications for this project will be available without charge. Issue date will be o/a April 5, 1996.
