Work includes, but is not limited to the following: (1) Installation of wall coverings and new lighting fixtures; (2) Repair of ceilings in offices, ballroom, and dining room; (3) Upgrades of the kitchen/serving line areas, including all refrigeration equipment, air conditioning, and fire protection system; and (4) Installation of toilet partitions, bath accessories, and prefabricated vanities. Project magnitude is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The performance period will consist of a 90-day mobilization period, followed by a phased 240-day construction period. The solicitation will issue on or about 5 April 96, with bid opening projected to occur on 6 May 96. A nonrefundable fee of $68.00, payable to the United States Department of the Treasury, is required for each solicitation requested. This fee is intended to reimburse appropriated fund reproduction expenses associated with issuance of the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis; thus, all responsible firms are encouraged to furnish their Federal Express, DHL, or Airborne Express account numbers with their requests to expedite delivery.
