58 -- AN/ARC-210(V) ELECTRONIC PROTECTION RADIO SET SOL N00019-95-C-0004 POC Contact, Pamela Gray, Phone (703)604-2119 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Rockwell International Corporation, Collins Avionics and Communications Division (CACD) of Cedar Rapids, IA to provide engineering and technical services for the design and development of an AN/ARC-210(V) radio modification to incorporate Digital Communications System (DCS) capability for the F/A-18 aircraft and other potential platform applications. The DCS capability will include: MIL-STD-188-220A as the physical and protocol layers, with Variable Message Formats as the application layer; Link 4A functional capability; and embedded cyryptographic capability to support the DCS functions and upgradeability to an embedded Demand Assignment Multiple Access satellite communications capability. CACD is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/ARC-210(V) radio, and is the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, and experience to perform this effort.
