59 -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR A NATIONAL PRIME VENDOR(S) FOR COMMERCIAL ELECTRONIC ITEMS Due 061796. POC Contracting Officer, Mike Kenney, 513-296-6116. The purpose of this effort is to inform and reach potential sources in order to develop a solicitation and eventual contract(s) with a national prime vendor(s) for commercial electronic items. The items targeted for this effort will be commercial items managed by the Defense Electronic Supply Center. Therefore, the mentioned items will consist of a wide range of federal stock classes. Some features being contemplated in the solicitation are: 3-5 year contract with no options, delivery within 48 hours upon receipt of an order, definite quantity, capability to receive orders via ECI/EDI/POPS, and credit card usage. Multiple awards will be considered as a result of the solicitation which is tentatively scheduled to be released on 17 May 96. We are planning to provide a list of: NSNS, sources, P/N, demand, and unit cost, of the items that will be targeted on the mentioned solicitation.
