A -- ADVANCED SIMULATION CENTER MISSILE SYSTEM AND SIMULATION ENGINEERING, MODELING AND ANALYSIS SOL DAAH01-95-R-R026 DUE 043096 POC (RDPC) Edward L. Askew, Contract Specialist, AMSMI-RD-PC-HB, (205) 876-5376, or Barbara K. Dobbins, Contracting Officer, (205) 876-1470. Synopsis No. R187-95. The objective of the engineering effort outlined in this requirement is to perform missile system simulation analysis and engineering support services, environmental modeling for missile simulation and technology development support services as scheduled in response to the needs of the users of the Advanced Simulation Center (ASC). Program development, simulation operations and software development shall be performed to accomplish real-time Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulations of missile guidance systems. The Advanced Simulation Center operates as the Armywide source of expertise and capabilities in large scale real-time HWIL simulations and provides development and operational support to the many Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence agencies. The simulators perform simulations for active, passive, semi-active, track via missile, command and beamrider missile guidance techniques, at Micorwave (MW), Millimeterwave (MMW) and other frequencies, for a variety of system applications and environments. Applications include surface-to-air, air-to-surface, air-to-air and surface-to-surface missiles in air defense, fire support and close combat roles. Seeker mechanizations include high and low resolution, coherent and non-coherent, imaging and non-imaging types with varing degrees of signal processing complexity and sophistication. Emphasis is placed upon high fidelity simulation of a missile in complex senarios and environments to achieve realism and credibility of results for improved decision making relative to weapon system management. Simulation results are used during the acquisition and readiness life cycle for understanding of system functioning, performance evaluation, verification and validation of system achievement of mission requirements and development of system doctrine and tactics against current and projected threats and senarios. The SIC Code for this RFP is 8731. This action is a 100 percent Small Business set aside procurement. See Numbered Note(s): 1, 13, 23, 25. (0081)
