The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to modify contract number N60921-92-C-0105 to procure on a sole source basis 800 sets of Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) chips with Hittite Microwave Corporation, Woburn, MA 01801. The MMIC devices will be of the design developed under the above numbered contract. Authority for other than full and open competition is provided through FAR 6.302.1, only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The current MMIC design for the Navy's EX 419 Multi-Function Fuze (MFF) program was originally developed by Hittite. No design package suitable for full and open competition exists at this time.
