Officer is Barbara Petrkilka. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft
Division intends to negotiate a contract for the procurement of fifty
(50) AN/DSQ-50 Scoring Sensors with three (3) 100% Options, a two year
warranty, and technical data. The sensors shall be manufactured in
accordance with the new sensor frequency in accordance with the
Department of Commerce directive of February 1995. The AN/DSQ-50 Miss
Distance Sensor Sets (Airborne Unit) includes the Miss Distance
Indicator (MDI) sensor, the Telemetry (TM) downlink, and may include
the Encryption Support Package. This requirement is for supplies for
which the Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit
full and open competition. The Government intends to procure from
Cartwright Electronics, Inc., Fullerton, CA under the authority of 10
U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 and under an approved
Justification and Approval (J & A). Firms that can recognize and
produce the required item described are encouraged to identify
themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be
considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a
competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open
the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice
is solely within the discretion of the Government. Delivery of the
items shall commence 12 months after the date of the contract and shall
continue at a rate of 15 sensors per month. Shipments will be made to
