requirement for the purchase of Integrated Marine Steering Gear Systems
design, components, Provisioning Technical Documentation, engineering
documentation and spares in accordance with Coast Guard drawings and
specifications for U.S. Coast Guard 49 foot Stern Loading Buoy Boat
(BUSL). Major system components include, but are not limited to: 1)
Hydraulic Steering System design of two circuits: a manually operated
control element and a power operated working element; 2) Hydraulic
System Pumps, 24v DC motors, resevoirs, cylinders rams, actuators and
filtration components. 3) Pilothouse mounted wheel and lever type
steering consoles. 4) Rudder linkages and angle indicators. 5)
Autopilot System. 6) Monitoring, ordering, alarm, safety and warning
system. 7) Structural and airborne noise limiting components. 8)
Integrated system design, drawings, calculations and reports. 9)
Engineering support for rudder stock, log and bearing design
integration. 10) Factory testing. 11) Provisioning technical
documentation. Requirements type contract and delivery shall be to the
U.S. Coast Guard Supply Center, Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD 21226.
Delivery shall be required within 5 months after receipt of delivery
order. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be
considered. For minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small
and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
