59 -- REPLACE PES SWITCHGEAR SOL F40650-96-R-0010 DUE 052096 POC Kimberly H. Williams, Contract Specialist, (615)454-7841 This is a design/build contract for removal of existing and installation of new medium voltage switchgear located in the Propulsion Wind Tunnel (PWT) Facility at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC). This switchgear controls electric energy supplied via underground cable from two 161 KV/13.8 KV/13.8 KV transformers and two 161 KV/6.9 KV transformers located in the Plenum Evacuation System (PES) substation about 40 meters to the east. There are two line-ups of switchgear designated as the north and south line-up because of their location on the north and south sides of the PES Control Room (Facility 710). Each line-up contains both 6.9 KV and 13.8 KV circuit breakers and controls. The estimated performance period would allow up to 440 calendar days for contract completion following notice to proceed.
