Yvonne A. Athanasaw, Purchasing Specialist, (202) 268-6387. The U.S.
Postal Service (USPS) requires current and continuing information on
household and business sectors of the marketplace. Information includes
data on both business and residential customer needs and expectations,
awareness of, usage of and attitudes toward existing postal products
and services, and interest in and reactions to proposed new products,
services or product/service modifications. In addition, information is
sometimes required from postal employees about their feelings toward
new product introductions, changes in retail procedures, etc. Among the
ways this information is to be obtained is through the conduct of
qualitative market research. This research includes focus groups,
in-depth interviews conducted by telephone or conducted in-person, and
mall intercept interviews. The USPS will award a limited number of
Ordering Agreements to the best qualified suppliers responding to the
solicitation. The Ordering Agreements will be used to solicit technical
and/or price proposals for conducting specific qualitative market
research studies as the need arises by the USPS. For a copy of the
solicitation, please send a written request to the contact listed above
by mail, by fax to (202) 488-1509, or via Internet to
yathanas@email.usps.gov. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
