Akers,81 6/926-5317 Invitation for Bid Notice for Restrooms and Dock Renovations, Federal Center, 4300 Goodfellow Boulevard, St. Louis, MO. Job PCN: RMO94170. IFB o/a 04/11/96. Estimated Cost Range: $500,000-$1,000,000. Time for completion: 200 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. No document charge or deposit is required. Project involves: Renovation of fourteen (14) restrooms in Building No. 103 and minor alterations to the existing loading dock at Building 110. The dock work includes new dock bumpers, protection angles and new doors and frames. The restrooms are designed for doorless access. The interior of all restrooms is to be demolished and asbestos abatement will be required when removing the plumbing chases. The work involves construction of new plumbing chases with new piping, fixture hangers, new fixtures, toilet partitions, mirror units, automatic flush valves and faucets, new lavatory vanity tops, new floor and wall finishes, closing of existing window areas with glass block units, modification of existing ventilation systems, new fintube radiation units and ceiling systems. Alteration of public access and emergency warning systems will be required. Option No. 1: Renovate four (4) restrooms in building 103. Option No. 2: Renovate four (4) restrooms in building 102. The bidder or subcontractor performing the hazardous material work shall satisfy special responsibility and shall provide bodily injury liability insurance coverage written on the comprehensive form of policy of at least $500,000 per occurrence. Such coverage must encompass liabilities arising from work with the hazardous materials involved. The Government will not indemnify against such risks.
