The chemical composition of the abrasive shall be optional with the manufacturer but restricted as follows: Chemical Composition - Magnesium Oxide 3-49 percent, Silicon Dioxide 36-43 percent, Iron/Ferric Oxide 3-33 percent, Calcium Oxide 0.1-2 percent, Aluminum Oxide 0.1-25 percent, Chromium Trioxide 0-1 percent, Miscellaneous Oxides 0-5 percent. Physical Properties: Bulk Density 90-100 lbs/cu ft, Specific Gravity 3.2 Minimum, Hardness 3.2 Minimum (Moh's scale), Free Silica Content 1.0 percent weight Maximum, pH 7.0 +/- 1.0.
