The GSA'S national furniture Center (3FNHD-Co) intends to issue the first (1St) open Season Solicitation for multiple award schedule 71, part III, section D for mailroom furniture on or about April 17, 1996. Please NOTE: This Solicitation will include clause I-FSS-164-D ''option to extend the term of the contract'' which gives GSA the option to extend the term of contracts under this Solicitation for an additional 5 year period. Contractors will have 30 days after issuance in which to submit an offer. The schedule Solicitation will be changed to incorporate portions of the Federal acquisition streamlining act of 1994 (fasa) dealing with specific changes to the truth in negotiations acttina), and revised statutory authorities for the acquisition of commercialitems. The contract period is October 1, 1996, or date of award, whichever islater, through September 30, 1998.
