being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif. 96.50.

of the notified document: Noise from Stationary Vehicles. 6.
Description of content: Stationary test of noise from vehicles in use
according to 81/334/EEC, 78/1015/EEC and ISO 5130 (test method) with
noise-limit values (dB(A) at stationary testing for different vehicle
categories and model years. 7. Objective and rationale: Noise from road
traffic is an environmental problem in Sweden. To reduce this problem
the Swedish National Road Administration will introduce a stationary
noise test for vehicles in use. The aim is to prevent vehicles with
defect mufflers from being used in road traffic. 8. Relevant documents:

and entry into force: 1 August 1996 and 1 January 1997. 10. Final date
