Title and number of pages of the notified document: Noise from Stationary Vehicles. 6. Description of content: Stationary test of noise from vehicles in use according to 81/334/EEC, 78/1015/EEC and ISO 5130 (test method) with noise-limit values (dB(A) at stationary testing for different vehicle categories and model years. 7. Objective and rationale: Noise from road traffic is an environmental problem in Sweden. To reduce this problem the Swedish National Road Administration will introduce a stationary noise test for vehicles in use. The aim is to prevent vehicles with defect mufflers from being used in road traffic. 8. Relevant documents: 78/1015/EEC, 70/157/EEC and VVFS 1994:5. 9.
