BETKER, (716)862-3676 The VA intends to negotiate with Siemens Medical Systems Inc., Nuclear Medicine Division, Glen Burnie, MD for maintenence and repair of Government Owned Siemens ECAT PET Scanner System (951/31R) including: ECAT 16 MB RTS memory, ECAT REM workstation (SUN SPARCST I), ECAT ERAS. Opt Disk, and ACCUSYNC 5L ECG GATE. The Contractor will be required to provide routine and emergency repair and maintenance service. Siemens is the manufacturer of this system and maintains all proprietary rights of this system. Contract will be for one year with two renewal years. Interested parties have 15 days from the publication date to submit their qualifications/capabilities (i.e. technical specs, brochures, price lists, and references) in the maintenance of the critical equipment listed above. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competitive basis. Responses received without the required information may be considered non-responsive to this synopsis.
