including Supply, Delivery, Storage, Menu Development, Training for
Inventory and Supply Management, Dietitian in Food preparation.
Services to be provided by a single contractor to Fifty (50) schools in
the Bureau of Indian Affairs at various locations in Arizona, New
Mexico and Utah. Start date for contract performance will be July 1,
1996. Consideration for contract will be limited to vendors located
within geographical borders of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.
Offers will be evaluated on the basis of the following; Quality and
provision of the vendor's dietitian and knowledgeable Food Specialist
to help Agency(s) and School(s) in building and altering their menus to
make them as cost efficient and nutritious as possible and to furnish
the necessary recipes and guidance to accomplish this task,
availability of necessary equipment, buildings, ripening rooms,
temperature controlled storage rooms, temperature controlled trucks
with adequate refrigeration and necessary sanitation people within
their own organization to maintain a sanitary environment while storing
such food products, ability and sufficient experience in full-service
food contracts (past performance). Requirements under this contract:
provisions of quality products, acceptable in working experience with
U.S.D.A. and determining eligible distribution of U.S.D.A. food and
meeting U.S.D.A. Food Service/Commodity Food regulations and program
requirements, demonstrate vendor's system to insure that the products
ordered will be delivered in total as the schools are remote enough
that they cannot and will not tolerate out-of-stock items, ability to
work with Cook Foreman/Kitchen Manager, Principals and Agency COR(s) as
a group and individually with regards to training to better use their
food items to achieve better efficiency and economy, adequacy,
sufficiency, viable training plans to issue that local school personnel
are able to prepare orders, inventory, manage, utilize and inspect all
food and food service supplies in as efficient manner. The food
presented to students will be attactive, palatable and nutritious, this
is not a set-aside. No joint ventures will be allowed. Request For
