The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division requires Engineering support in the design, building, and testing of an improved version of the MK 404 Mod 2 Infrared Proximity Fuze, specifically in the area of the optics assembly. This effort will include design and producibility engineering, fabrication of inert and live fuzes, test and evaluation of fuzes, and engineering and failure analysis studies. This requirement will be completed by 30 September 1997. This requirement will be satisfied through other than full and open competition utilizing KDI Precision Products, Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio.
