Sledge, Contracting Officer. 325 CONS/LGCS at Tyndall AFB is contemplating a sole source acquisition for 160 Silent War Infectious Disease Control Training Programs. The authority for this purchase is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The programs consist of six videotapes, one resource manual/instructors guide, 12 student textbooks, one set of supplemental training, and a storage case. These training materials will enhance fire fighter safety and provide our emergency responders with the education/training necessary to protect themselves from infectious diseases. The programs must meet elements of the Code of Federal Regulations (29 CFR 1910.1030) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 1581; Fire Department Infection Control Program covering both airborne and bloodborne diseases. This material must be compatible with CerTest program that measures the effectiveness of training. Request that potential vendors provide information concerning this package.
