This is a sole source requirement for Precision Human Computer
Technologies, 3825 Little Rock Drive, Suite 30, Antelope, CA 95843.
This requirement is for Technical Engineering and Application
Development for Wearable Computers with Transparent Head-Mounted
Displays. The Contractor will be required to develop an application in
support of the exterior Sheetmetal Evaluation and Inspection (E&I)
process of the KC135 and F15 Aircraft. The objectives are to: 1)
Develop an application to support the E&I process for the KC135 and F15
aircraft utilizing wearable computers and head mounted displays. 2)
Develop an Augmented Reality System (ARS) application that will
demonstrate the capabilities of human training through the use of
interactive computer systems. 3) Determine the feasibility of
developing an application of the van repair shop at SM-ALC. 4)
Integrate wireless LAN technology and voice activation where
appropriated into the wearable computer and its application to support
the industrial communities using wireless LANs on the shop floor. 5)
Report on the viability of virtual maintenance training as exemplified
by the Joint Advance Strike Technology (JAST) Virtual Maintenance
Demonstration Project. 6) Review and evaluate Ergonomic and Human
Factors study on wearable computers in conjunction with NASA Ames
Research Center. The performance period is date of award through 30 Sep
96. The Air Force Specific Agency (DPA) for this acquisition is
KAA-95-AD011 (FIRMR Clause 201-39-5202-3). An Ombudsman has been
appointed for this acquisition. The only purpose of th Ombudsman is to
receive and communicate serious concerns from potential offerors when
an offeror prefers not to use established channel to communicate
his/her concern during the proposal development phase of this
acquisition. Potential offerors should use established channels to
request information, pose questions and voice concerns before resorting
to use the Ombudsman. Potential offerors are invited to contact Allen
