S -- VACCINE DISTRIBUTION SOL 96-15(N) DUE 043096 POC Contact Charlotte Flitcraft, Contract Specialist at (404)842-6740 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requests review and comment from interested parties on a draft solicitation for a proposed contract for Vaccine Storage and Distribution to States and Private Providers. Currently, CDC has contracts with five vaccine manufacturers to purchase 18 vaccines with the potential of purchasing additional vaccines as they are developed. The successful contractor will purchase vaccines against current CDC contracts, provide private storage in a privately operated facility for a minimum 90-day supply, receive orders, fill orders and package and ship orders to State and Private Providers in such a way as to preserve the cold chain. The anticipated contract will be for a base performance period of one year with one option to extend the term for an additional year. Contract type is anticipated to be firm fixed price. A presolicitation meeting is tenatively scheduled for April 30, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia. The date,time, and location of the presolicitation meeting will be provided along with the draft solicitation package. Due to the limited amount of space, each State and corporate entity/affiliate shall be limited to two individuals.
