W -- PROVIDE ALPHA-NUMERIC PAGERS TO THE FEDERAL CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION, LOCATED IN MIAMI, FLORIDA SOL IFB 125-0216. Due 051696. The successful contractor will provide approximately 100 alpha numeric pagers to the Federal Correctional Institution located at 15801 SW 137th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33177-1297. The pagers will be provided on a lease basis and will include individual telephone numbers for each pager. Each pager shall be capable of being programmed with a group telephone number. The pager service must have a minimum range between Key West, Florida and Vero Beach, Florida. The pagers must be able to store and retrieve messages. The system must be capable of sending messages immediately or on a preprogrammed designated time/date. The system shall have the capability to send messages to at least ten (10) individual pages as a group. The successful contractor shall repair or replace broken equipment within twenty-four (24) hours after notification by the Federal Correctional Institution, Miami. The successful contractor shall provide technical assistance throughout the contract period either via telephonically or through a site visit at no additional charge; therefore, this needs to be incorporated in the overall bid by the contractor. This contract is for one (1) base year, with a possibility of four (4) unilaterally exercised option years, for a possible five (5) year contract. The base year will be from date of award, and last for a twelve (12) month period. The proposed issue date for IFB 125-0216 is on or about April 16, 1996. The proposed acquisition is unrestricted.
