The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) New CCTV monitoring system for three (3) Hangars including: 4 Bays with eight (8) cameras per bay, video switchers, transmitters, receivers, UPS/battery equipment, cabling and other associated equipment at each hangar; Providing receivers, video switcher and video input modules to the existing CCTV equipment racks in the Fire Station; CCTV interface with existing KIDDE and NOTIFIER fire alarm systems; 4,500 feet of new fiber optic cable from the hangars to the Fire Station for transmission of control, data and video signals; Repair of the emergency/exit lights in the three (3) hangars. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 400 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a April 22, 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
