Z -- GROUNDWATER TREATMENT PLANT GENERAL CONSTRUCTION Contact: David Dale, Sr Contracts Specialist, 516-344-3199. This contract will be set aside for bidding by small businesses only. SIC Code 1542 applies. Work consists of general construction for a 700 gpm groundwater treatment plant including concrete foundations, clear well, outfall piping for a main piping, and recharge basin along with a 500 SF metal building containing power supplies, controls, HVAC equipment, fire detection and communications equipment. The work will also include approximately 7500 LF force main 8 inch pipe and control cable between the treatment plan and the groundwater extraction wells and a 2400 volt feeder and transformer for the extraction wells. The extraction wells and all water treatment equipment will be provided and installed by others under a separate contract. All work will be awarded on a single contract. Estimated construction cost is $500,000 to $700,000. Estimated construction time is 26 weeks. A 20% bid bond is required. Payment and performance bonds are required after contract award. Brookhaven is charging a non-refundable fee of $40 for bid documents. Personal checks made out to ``Brookhaven National Laboratory'' are acceptable.
